President's Counsel Tisath Wijegunawardena has been appointed as an advisor to Minister of Science, Technology and Research Sujeewa Senasinghe.

The Minister has recently forwarded the relevant letter to Mr. Wijegunawardena at the Ministry.

Mr. Tisath Wijegunawardena, President's Counsel, holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Colombo and a Masters in Administrative Law from Reading University, England. He is a former Commissioner of the Legal Aid Commission of Sri Lanka and currently serves as the Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Law Commission.

Prof. Ashu Marasinghe, Monitoring MP of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research, Ministry Secretary Mr. Chinthaka Lokuhetti and Director Mrs. Nazeema Ahamed were present at the occasion.
