The fourth meeting of the BIMSTEC expert group on establishment of the BIMSTEC Centre for Technology Transfer Facility was held in Colombo on November 21 and 22. The inauguration of the meeting organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research was held under the patronage of the Minister of Science, Technology and Research. Eight delegates from BIMSTEC Member States- Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Thailand attended the Meeting together with a number of delegates representing Sri Lanka. Representing Sri Lanka, the Chairman of the National Science and Technology Commission Professor Jayantha Wijeratne headed the fourth Expert Group meeting and was joined by the Director of the BIMSTEC Secretariat Mr. S.M. Nasmul Hassan. The Meeting finalized the draft text of the Memorandum of Association (MoA) on the Establishment of BIMSTEC Technology Transfer Facility.
