The opening ceremony of the “Vidatha Haritha Kadamandiya - 2017” A Marketplace to promote the products of small entrepreneurs was held on 26th October 2017 at the ITI premises with the patronage of the Hon. Minister of Science Technology and Research Mr. Susil Premajayantha and Hon. State Minister of Science Technology and Research Mr. Lakshman Senevirathna.
The inauguration of the National Inventors Day was held on 26th October 2017 at the BMICH with the patronage of the Hon. Minister of Science Technology and Research Mr. Susil Premajayantha. This day was dedicated to honor a noble scientist and inventor from Sri Lanka, first Commissioner to the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission Mr. A. N. S. Kulasinghe on his birthday.
Hon. State Minister Mr. Lakshman Senewiratne assumed duties as State Minister of Science Technology and Research on 19.04.2016.
Hon. Minister Mr. Susil Premajayantha assumed duties as Minister of Science Technology and Research on 10.09.2015.
The first Indo - Lanka Joint Research Symposium was held under the patronage of Hon. Minister of Science Technology and Research Mr. Susil Premajayantha and the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Tharjith Shanmugu at Water's Edge Hotel, Colombo on 29.05.2019.
