The main conference of "The World CIO 200 Grand Finale - 2026", hosted for the first time by Sri Lanka, was held on the 23rd of September 2026 at the Cinnamon Life Hotel premises in Colombo, under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya and with the participation of the Minister of Science and Technology, Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena.

This programme organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology, commenced with the participation of over 200 global technology leaders and enterprise heads representing more than 50 countries worldwide. Held from September 22 to 24, this event will also serve as a platform enabling global technology experts to share their technical knowledge through a single network.

Also present at the event were Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dr. Arusha Cooray, Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology Dr. Roshinie Dissanayake, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Dubai Alexi Gunasekera, and CEO and Co-Founder of Global Enterprise Connect Ronak Samantaray, alongside a large number of local and foreign dignitaries from the technology sector.
